The classes on Totalitarian States and Its Discriminatory Practices have been resumed

After a longer school vacation than usual, due to the energy crisis caused by the war, on January 20, the Chernivtsi Museum of the History and Culture of Bukovinian Jews was finally able to host a workshop on The Totalitarian State and Its Discriminatory Practices.

This time, the workshop was attended by students from the villages of Luzhany and Mamaivtsi, from the Luzhany and Mamaivtsi Secondary Schools, respectively. As the students admitted, the invitation to visit a Jewish museum and participate in a workshop on this topic surprised them. At the same time, many wanted to attend because none of them had ever been to such a museum. They were also very interested in the topic, especially the part about the interwar period in Bukovina. As it turned out, the school curriculum allocates very few hours to the study of local history, and so the students decided to take advantage of this great opportunity. The principals of both schools also supported the high school students by organizing a special free bus with the assistance of the local authorities.
